Calling all Republicans. Iraq war: Why did the government mislead us?

First, they believe Joe Turner, a CIA yst with a degree in MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, in essing whether or not aluminum tubes purchased from Hong Kong in the open market were going to be used for enriching uranium, when nuclear scientists at the Department of Energy said that those same tubes could in no way be used to enrich uranium. Then, around that same time frame, they believe a crackpot college professor, Laurie Mylroie, with an outlandish theory that Saddam was responsible for every act of terrorism ever since he invaded Kuwait in 1990, rather than believing the FBI AND CIA who claimed that this professor was off her rocker with this theory. I might add, the same CIA agency that they deemed to be so reliable that they believed a mechanical engineer over multiple nuclear physicist when essing the nuclear capabilities of aluminum tubes purchased on the OPEN MARKET? Can any republican explain that one to me?
