How does "A vote for Sally is a vote for you. Vote for Maverick Sally for Student Council VP." sound?

is it appropriate for me to put maverick in there?? thats the only thing im kinda worried about. feel free to give me any suggestions for a nice/funny slogan for someone running for student council vice president. thanks much!
