Scared whitt less? please help!?

i have been diagnosed with Hypoglycemia.. im kinda scared and im under weight. ive never been diagnosed with diabetes but my mom aunt grandma and cousin all have this is it hereditary? and my one grandma has diabetes could this form int something worse? i am scared please help.
