How do you impede the march of Free Market Capitalism? Non-militarily?

I would probably do exactly what the Democrats have been doing for the last two years Keep business constantly guessing what new taxes, energy costs, employee health care costs, paperwork, and regulations are coming until you create so much uncertainty that no one can plan, invest, or hire anyone.
